Ever Been To San Angelo, Texas?

How about Christoval, Texas? Kamie and I conquered both this past weekend. We drove to visit Dee Ann and her great kids down in the center of Texas, just south of San Angelo. Kamie hadn't seen Dee in over 10 years. I couldn't believe it had been that long. We had a great time catching up, hanging out, and watching Nacho Libre. The pic below is in downtown San Angelo.

On Sunday, Dee Ann decided that it would be cool for us to drive out to a monastery called the Carmelite Hermitage in Christoval. I think she was inspired by Nacho Libre. It was pretty interesting. We tried to go in, but as you can see below in the pic, they kicked Dee out (Just Kidding! I just like the picture). It was actually just too late for us to get inside. But, that didn't stop us from taking pics on the grounds, reading the stories, and driving around checking the grounds out. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any real monks :(

To sum it up, adventures are good, especially with great friends. I will be going back to Christoval again.
