Camping Trip @ Blue River
Lili made this video, and I posted it without her permission...can I post it, LiLi? We had a great time over the Easter weekend...5 couples, 4 tents; the river was fresh and had a little falls where we could sit with chairs;a game warden (curtis) that wanted to be our buddy; horse shoes; the newlywed game, and of course I got sicker than a dog. I've never been THAT ACUTELY sick in my life.

Kinda Pissed Me Off
So, I realize that I wasn't wearing earrings today. It is Sunday, and I hadn't brushed my hair. I mean, I was just running up to the store to get buy a couple of things for our camping trip this week. But, that old hag behind the service counter didn't have to say, "Can I help you sir?" Ok, sure, I have had this happen to me before on the phone or at checkout counters when they don't look up and I'm tall, and I have a deep voice and all that. But, today, she looked RIGHT at me.
So, I stand back a little waiting for this other guy to help me find the item I was looking for. I try to fix my hair with my hands to ensure femininity. I look at my purple t-shirt and my lime green flip flops thinking, "geesh, I can't look THAT much like a man?" There I am in the middle of a busy store trying to build my confidence back up that, naw, I look ok. About the time I've regrouped and gotten over the comment, sure shit she refers to me as a HE to another customer who had asked if I was next. She says, "No, HE's already being helped. I'll help you."
ARE YOU SERIOUS? I wish I could have had a picture of my face to put here on this post. Because, surely my mouth would have been open and my stare would have been one of "die idiot." If she hadn't been old and going bald and working a crap job, I may have had to say something to that old bag.

Thou Shalt Not Covet

Charlie (who created my awesome new banner...thanks!) did the car post first, but I wanted to keep it rolling.
I love my MINI Cooper! But, it is becoming apparent that it isn't too practical for the baby seat. I could persevere, but I'm not so sure. I've got plenty of time to decide.
My current vehicle that I have my eye on is the Honda Ridgeline. I love functional vehicles and this one is great. I never have wanted a truck, but I love SUV's. Somehow this "hybrid" has reeled me in. But, I'm not saying that I'll be buying one anytime soon.
Reasons to keep the MINI:
1) It is FUN to drive.
2) Great gas mileage.
3) It is already a collector as they don't make the Indie Blue color anymore.
4) I look sexy driving it. Ok, that was a stretch.
5) Has racing stripes.
6) It is fast and handles like a go cart.
7) I'll look manly in the Ridgeline.
Reasons to sell the MINI and get a Ridgeline:
1) BabyCarSeat will easily fit and be manuverable.
2) Will pull an RV Trailer.
3) Can pack the camping box and tons of other campy supplies in the back.
4) Has a really cool "trunk" inside the bed of the truck...How cool is that?!
5) 4 doors makes others happy to ride in the back seat.
6) I could probably sleep in the bed of the truck if need be...like camping or such.
